THE LEGEND OF BINT EL BATAA

- - - - - The Sands of Time will Reveal the Quality of a Mare !

The Legend Begins - - - -
*Bint El Bataa was born in Egypt in 1955. She was a Beautiful, Statuesque mare with a Shining Black Coat – which was a Gift from a Queen - - - the “Queen of Sheba”, handed down through five generations. Her Pedigree was perfection, for she was Line-Bred to the Great Kuhaylan stallion Mansour, - like *Rashad Ibn Nazeer and *Ansata Ibn Halima,- differing only in Tail-Line mare. Her Tail-Line mare(El Bataa), was closest to (Halima), but El Bataa had a better, (longer) neck. In 1958 Richard Pritzlaff purchased *Bint El Bataa, *Rashad Ibn Nazeer, *Bint Moniet El Nefous, *Bint Nefisa, and *Bint Dahma, for export to the U.S.

Life In America - - - -
At Rancho San Ignacio, Pritzlaff bred *Bint El Bataa to *Rashad Ibn Nazeer, producing the quadruple Mansour, Line-Bred stallion (Shiko Ibn Sheikh) & the mare (Grete). He apparently felt these Bloodlines were too close & bought the Dahman, Babson stallion (Faarad), which he bred to *Bint El Bataa producing the mare(Faaraa) & breedings to Grete produced the mares (Bataara) & (Gita RSI). Pritzlaff’s preference was clearly for the more feminine , longer faced (Shahloul blood) present in the mares *Bint Moniet El Nefous, *Bint Nefisa, & *Bint Dahma, plus the Rabanna blood which together produced his favorites, ( Perfecta RSI & Saracence RSI ). He would send Shiko Ibn Sheikh to Dale Coffey in Central Calif.; Bataara to Edna Weeks in Tenn; Gita RSI to the Fosters in Ca.; & Faaraa & *Bint El Bataa herself to the Grows at Rafter-G Arabians in Seattle. *Bint El Bataa would spend the rest of her life at Rafter-G, being bred almost exclusively to Ansata El Salim. Little precious *Bint El Bataa blood remained at RSI, but in the 80’s a Statuesque Grt Grandson of her’s - in the mold of Mansour (Almoniet), would rise to become one of the most famous Pritzlaff stallions. Pritzlaff would also obtain the *Bint El Bataa daughter (Sabataa) x Ansata El Salim, & breed her to Almoniet to produce the mare Ebocenta. Ebocenta would go to the Klinginsmiths in Dodge City after Pritzlaff’s death & spend her final days with Ernie Golden in Anza Ca. Her daughter (Shikabatta RSI) x Rajmonorsi, went to Joan Schleicher, in Cambria, Ca.

World Class Athletes - - - -
Dale Coffey was one of the few Horsemen to utilize the athletic ability of these Great Egyptians. His *Bint El Bataa son “Shiko” had High Withers & Deep Heart-Girth( Increased Heart & Lung Capacity), and great Sloping Shoulder with matching Slope from Front-of-Hip to Point-of-Butt( Power Front and Rear End), and Wide Jaws = Larger Wind Pipe ( More Air). Shiko Ibn Sheikh and his sons would produce (9) National Performance winners in events like Reining & Working Cow, & his Grandson (R.O.Grand Sultan) would become the Greatest Endurance horse the world has ever known, ( 3 x World Endurance Champ). The 2008 Nat’l Champion Park horse,(Aequus) is a Shiko Ibn Sheikh Grandson. Dale also obtained the mare Bint El Sarie ( *Rashad Ibn Nazeer x *Bint Dahma ) from Pritzlaff & her son by “Shiko”,( Kazmeen Ibn Shiko)was the Foundation Sire of Joe & Jenny Linzners in Creston Ca. A full sister to “Kazmeen” (Shikos Kazmeena) was a Foundation Mare at Echo Hill Arabian Preservation, in Hobbie Pa. / Kelly Gobla - (570) 379-3930.

World Class Show Quality - - - -
In the 70’s Rafter-G Arabians exported one of Bint El Bataa’s sons(Sankt Georg), to Australia. Years later in 1991 a Bold, Statuesque Grandson of his (Simeon Shai), would storm the North American show circuits, winning Scottsdale, Canadian Nat’l Champion, U.S. Nat’l Champion & World Champion Stallion. The Magnificent Black Stallion (Simeon Sadik – U.K. & Australia Nat’l Champion & Reserve World Champion), is also a Sankt Georg Grandson and sire of the popular American Egyptian Stallion (*Hero).

Kansas Black Beauty - - - -
In the mid 90’s, car after car on the Kansas Interstate would pull to the side of the road to get a better look at a Statuesque Black Beauty of a mare standing on a knoll of the Klinginsmith’s Ranch. Her admirers pondered – from where in the world could such a Beautiful Mare have come? - - The answer was blowing on the Kansas wind that rustled her mane - this was El Bataa Sheikh (Rashad Nefuso RSI x Ebocenta RSI), a Grt Granddaughter of *Bint El Bataa. Today El Bataa Sheikh is stopping traffic at Pete & Helen McCloskeys in Central Ca.

Great Black Stallion - - - -
One of the most popular Black Sires in the 90’s was the Statuesque Saud El Ameer. Everyone knew him as Adhem’s Son, but few noted that his Dam( Gita RSI ), was out of the Full Sister to Shiko Ibn Sheikh (Grete), & that Saud was a *Bint El Bataa Tail-Line, Great Grandson & Grandson of the Babson – Faarad.

Fabulous Five - - - -
The other Grete daughter ( Bataara ) was used by Edna Weeks in Tenn in her breeding program and produced the Statuesque & Beautiful (So Soniet), a *Bint El Bataa Tail-Line mare. During the 90’s Preservation Breeders, “Flying A” & “Rarest-of-the-Rare Egyptians” combined in breeding So Soniet to Saud El Ameer to produce (Five) Double Bint El Bataa Tail-Line Foals. The “Fab-5” are all Super Sport Horse Types of great size(15.0 – 15.3H), & are all Black Producers. Fab-1 Stallion(Rashad Ibn Ameer), is at Joe & Jenny Linzner (805) 238-0940. Fab-3 Stallion (El Faarad TD),is at Coquille, Oregon / Sheryl & Tom Flood (541) 396-5397. Fab-2 Mare(Precious Beauty), Fab-4 Mare(Soo Moniet nc), & Fab-5 Stallion (Soo Shahloul) are at Rarest-of-the-Rare Egyptians in, Lancaster, Ca. These five horses also have almost 20% of the Great Babson ( Faarad)’s blood. Faarad like Serr Maariner, was one of the few Babsons with a high % of Bint Saada blood (Who was a sister to Balance - - the Greatest Egyptian Race horse of all time). These horses have 70% Kuhaylan blood with 23 lines(including Sire-line), to the great Kuhaylan stallion Mansour and 5 lines to the legendary Kuhaylan Mare Rodania, whose blood is found in virtually every great Race Horse on every continent.

The Legend Continues - - - -
At “Rarest-of-the-Rare Egyptians”, there are (4) *Bint El Bataa Tail-Line Mares, (2) Double Tail-Line Mares, & (1) Double Tail-Line Stallion dedicated to preserving the memory and “Legend of *Bint El Bataa.”
